The project was implemented in the first quarter of 2008. Recuperator 812kW power was installed and mounted on the exhaust outlet in the coal boiler OR5/16. In the design were used the copper heat pipes with aapproximately 2 metres of length and 25 millimetres of diameter. More than 800 pipes were mounted in diagonal position.

The first recuperator was mounted at the turn of 2010 and 2011 — the new system has been enabled in January 2011. Azomureş is the most significant producer of chemical fertilizers for agriculture in Romania. EnergiQ mounted the recuperatorsin the factory in the period of 2002-2004. As a result, their mounted 6 recuperators on each chimney with power rating: 5 x 1.16 MW and one with a 2 MW power. The project assumed a recovery of exhaust gases and their reuse for steam production.
